This past Thursday, John Luke's class took a field trip to Let's Pretend Hospital. This is a thing that the North MS Medical Center puts together for area first graders. They have different booths set up that teach the kids all about the different medical professions while also learning about being healthy and not smoking. There was even a skit with trauma docs working on a man that had been in a wreck. They had a dummy on a gurney with a broken leg and the bone was sticking out. Lot's of blood. The kids really enjoyed it. I was so glad that I got to take off work to go with John Luke on his field trip. They got to tour the neonatal ambulance as well as the "big people" ambulance. They also got a peek inside of the medical center helicopter. It was really neat. We left from the agri center and went to the park and had lunch. The kids got to feed the ducks and play on the playground. We had a great time!!
